NB Visitors are allowed to bring a maximum of 5 guns (shotguns or rifles) into Spain
On arrival in Spain at your chosen airport, visitors travelling with guns report to Intervención de Armas (gun clearance) where the Guardia Civil (local Police) will inspect guns and paperwork. It is important to travel with the following correct, valid documentation, and ensure all guns are correctly listed, as without this, your guns will be impounded at the airport, and only released on your departure from Spain
All UK/EU Visitors travelling to Spain with guns must obtain/provide a valid European Firearms Pass (EFP). A National/Regional Hunting Licence is required for USA/CANADA/ Non EU residents.
All UK visitors should also travel with a valid UK Shotgun Certificate for exit from/return to the UK.
USA/CANADA/NON EU Member State visitors must apply to their local Cónsul General de España for permission to import guns into Spain (For a list of Spanish Consulates click here ) Each application must be accompanied by a Letter of Invitation signed by the shoot owner which we will obtain/provide on written request. Once you have received your local Consular permission, please let us have a scan/copy/pdf for our records.
All visitors shooting in Spain require a Local Hunting Licence (Licencia de Caza) regionally specific to the province in which the shoot takes place. In order to apply for this local licence on your behalf, we require a scan/copy/pdf both of your Passport and your EFP together with your arrival/departure dates in/out of Spain
Once issued, we will forward a scan/copy/pdf of your Spanish Local Hunting Licence in advance of your arrival in Spain.
Please ensure you travel with your U.K. Shotgun certificate or Shotgun licence as this document will be inspected when you leave and return to your own country.
